The Usual Suspects

So we did some hiking again at Bali Kayalar.  Being a little warmer, we also did some swimming and cliff jumping (see the vid below).  It actually turned out to be more of a social/relaxation day as we started with tea by the sea, stopped for cherries (amazingly good), watched the tadpoles and just took breaks all over.  Thank you all for a great day!

Year End
That's the beautiful Banana and myself on our school's end of year staff boat cruise.  In the background is one of the two bridges which spans the Bosphorus from Europe to Asia (yes Istanbul spans two continents - very cool, eh?).
Below is the same bridge with the evening light show.  They had a red and white light combo going on for awhile to which I sang our national anthem while cruising the Bosphorus.  We had a nice five hour cruise with food, drinks and dancing.
At the bottom is my computer lab and six of the seven classes which I taught this year.  They were all a lot of fun and I'm really sad to see them all move
on.  Of my 120 or so students this year, I will only teach one of them again next year because computer science is mostly an elective course and it is difficult under the Turkish ministry guidelines for the students to find time to take it as an elective.  My grade 12 class will graduate tomorrow and I will start a new grade eleven class next year.  Unfortunately I won't have a grade 12 class next year because the ministry guidelines kept our school from having a grade 11 class this year - it's so sad :(((.  Anyways, it was a great year teaching all of my students and I love them all!  It's so ironic how you can miss the challenging students the most.  I also got the ok for Mount Ararat!!!  I'm so excited!!!! :)))  On Saturday I fly out to Eastern Turkey and I'll be trekking next week!
