This is a clip from the Doctor Who 2007 Christmas
special. I found it especially hilarious because I'm living in
Turkey right now.
One of the reasons this scene really hits home with me is because I
think that we've got a lot of our history messed up like this
fellow. How can we know how people felt and what they did
hundreds or thousands of years ago based on written documents?
The world can't even agree on how things were as recent as the two
world wars. We have a lot more writings and even video to go
on for those times so how can we presume to know so much about the
past? Yet we make so many assumptions and conclusions.
Sometimes I really wish I had a time machine. :)
