Paris for my birthday! Not too shabby, eh?
The Chartres Cathedral has a Labyrinth that pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago still walk. The tour guide told us that the center of the Labyrinth is a high engergy place so a lot of people stop there. I also learned that a labyrinth is different from a maze. A labyrinth only has one path so you can't get lost where as a maze branches out to many dead ends which makes it easy to get lost.
The stained glass windows in the cathedrals are really beautiful. It would be kind of cool to have one in my apartment, haha.
Emily forgot her bag on the train and they hadn't found it the next day when we called so they told us to call on Monday. She had fun shopping for new
clothes. Apart from the Labyrinth, I think my favourite spot was the cheese fondue restaurant. It felt like we were at a ski chalet in Switzerland because everything was made of wood. Next, we're off to Barcelona in two weeks. I'm excited to take my bike on its first journey to another city. Viva la France! Oui, j'ai bien aimé parler en Français.
